According to the data from the annual fast charging network work summary meeting of State Grid Haidian on December 20, the company has built a total of 227 urban public charging stations, 22 high-speed fast charging stations, and 12 bus charging stations this year. With a high-speed fast charging station and 9 bus charging stations, the Shanghai fast charging network is becoming denser and denser. While rebuilding the stock of old-fashioned charging piles, the company is accelerating the pace of new charging piles. At present, there are 5,084 charging piles in the city, all of which are connected to the company's Internet of Vehicles platform. The access rate, commissioning rate, and project milestone control rate have all reached high levels. . Relying on the Internet of Vehicles platform, the average charging service radius of electric vehicles in Shanghai has been shortened to 5 kilometers.

After the completion of the construction project this year, Shanghai's electric vehicle fast charging network will achieve three improvements. Urban public fast charging stations were built from scratch. 227 stations were newly built during the year. The number of stations accounted for the vast majority of the three types of fast charging stations to meet the daily charging needs of electric vehicle owners. The fast charging stations in the expressway service area have changed from quantity to qualitative change, realizing full coverage of expressway service areas throughout Shanghai. Bus charging stations have doubled and will serve Shanghai's public transportation priority strategy with green environmental protection concepts.
 
According to the plan, State Grid Haidian will further promote the construction of public fast charging facilities within the city. By 2020, the average charging service radius in the inner city of the outer ring expressway will not exceed 0.5 km, and the average service radius of the general urban area outside the outer ring expressway will not exceed 1 km.
